Every April, Aix-Marseille Université's Faculty of Science and its scientific culture unit organize the academic stage of the national "Faites de la Science" competition.

Organized at national level by the Conférence des Directeurs des UFR Scientifiques (CDUS), the "Faites de la science" competition is open to middle and high school students who present a scientific or technical experiment developed as part of their school activities. The aim is to develop students' taste for experimentation, by encouraging them to tackle scientific questions in the manner of a researcher.

The 17th edition of the competition ended on April 11, 2024 with the victory of students from Gardanne's Collège PESQUIER. Congratulations to the project: LE CHASSEUR MARIN.

The aim of this project was to build a model of a machine that could move through the air, enter the water and continue moving in it. To achieve this, the students carried out tests to determine the most suitable shape for the model to ensure efficient flight in the air, optimal penetration of the water and movement in the water. They also set about finding the most efficient means of propulsion.
