AIMS
After a first year in the Marie Curie scientific portal and the last two years of the Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical Engineering (IM), the graduate will have assimilated methods and tools for analysing and validating the mechanical solutions adopted in the design of a multi-technology system.
They will use assisted design tools to analyse systems and make simple modifications in accordance with specifications.
He/she will be able to produce a technical note to justify his/her results.
At the end of the training and the type of teaching, he will develop his capacity of analysis, of appropriation of the disciplines as well as his capacity of work within a group.
FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES
Entry to the L3 - "IM course" of the SPI Licence requires a level of "scientific bac +2" oriented towards engineering sciences in the mechanical engineering field.
FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES
2 years of higher education in engineering sciences in the field of mechanical engineering or equivalent.
LEARNING SITES
- SCIENCES, Aix-en-Provence
- SCIENCES, Marseille St-Jérôme
- SCIENCES, Marseille Chateau-Gombert
LEARNING AND RESEARCH
Discovery of the activities of the research laboratories through seminars by teacher-researchers.
Visits to the activities of the campus laboratories.
Possibility of doing internships during the course in the LMA and LAM research laboratories
Use of Fablab equipmentPROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED
Analyse and validate the mechanical solutions adopted in the design of a multi-technology system, in conjunction with materials and automation specialists
Develop a systematic and rigorous scientific approach enabling the implementation of a suitable solution in response to a problem linked to a multi-technology system
Present or write, in a structured, synthetic, clear and rigorous manner, a critical argument based on a scientific document or technical documentation, in French or English at the intermediate level
Develop and implement an individual or group project related to the engineering sciences, using project management methodologies that encourage the restitution and sharing of the results producedINTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS
Projects in the APPs and in the design office also give rise to oral and written assessments for modules in S5 and S6.
An internship of at least 4 weeks is strongly recommended in the degree course, which may take place in a company or an academic laboratory. It will be explained in the PPPE sessions
SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS
The pedagogy in the IM course is based on lectures and tutorials. Design office sessions and practical work complete the training. Finally, 20% of the teaching is done through active pedagogy by means of problem-based learning that encourages both autonomy and group work.
