  • AIMS

The Organic Synthesis and Green Chemistry course of the Chemistry Master's degree, which is co-accredited with the Ecole Centrale de Marseille, aims to train professionals and expert chemists at bac+5 level, capable of solving complex problems of organic synthesis; The aim of the programme is to train professionals and expert chemists at bac+5 level, capable of solving complex organic synthesis problems, in an academic or industrial environment, using the main methods of organic synthesis strategy, while at the same time serving human activity in a sustainable manner in various sectors of activity (green chemistry, medicinal chemistry, catalysis and innovative materials).

Students can follow the Master of Chemistry either in initial training, or in continuing education, or by validation of professional experience (VAP) or by experience (VAE), or in work-study via professionalization contracts.

The students of the master's degree will acquire both general skills in chemistry (semester 1), advanced theoretical skills in their field of specialisation (semester 2), and the ability to work in a professional environment; They will also have a strong experimental know-how in this field where experience is essential. Students will thus have essential disciplinary skills for all types of chemists (in particular analytical methods, spectroscopies, experimental techniques and bibliographic research), and others more focused on the applications specific to the Green Chemistry Organic Synthesis course.

The course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the field of organic chemistry.
