AIMS
After a first year in one of the two scientific portals: Marie Curie or Louis Pasteur, the last two years of the Chemistry Licence aim to offer students a solid base of fundamental knowledge and skills in all the disciplines of Chemistry, thus enabling them to acquire the specific foundations of each of these disciplines.
The Chemistry Licence is above all a generalist Licence. Its main objective is to train students for further studies within the Masters of our University, as well as for training offered by other higher education establishments, universities or engineering schools.
As such, the Bachelor of Chemistry is the main showcase of the Department of Chemistry of our University and the research laboratories with which our teacher-researchers are associated.
TARGETED STUDENTS
- Students with a baccalaureate with mainly scientific specialisations
- Students coming from other licenses, CPGE, PASS, BUT or BTS: admission possible in L2 or L3 after study of the application.
- Students from our preparation courses for scientific studies (L1en2ans, AMNS).
ADMISSION CONDITIONS
The 1st year of the Licence is open by right to any holder of a baccalaureate with major in science or a diploma admitted in equivalence (including from abroad).
For students enrolled in CPGE, BUT and BTS, admission to L2 or L3 is also possible on the basis of an application file after the opinion of the educational commission.
The students must have a high school diploma.
FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES
In order to enter the Chemistry licence in L2, candidates must justify the validation of a 1st year of scientific studies in Chemistry or equivalent (Classes préparatoires, 1st year of BUT or BTS Chemistry, PASS). Access to the 3rd year of the licence is subject to an examination of the candidate's file by a pedagogical commission.
FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES
All L1 modules, Marie Curie portal or Louis Pasteur portal.
STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION
Organisation into 3 blocks of skills and knowledge:
- Using communication tools for your project
- Mobilising fundamental knowledge
- Use experimental methods and procedures
LEARNING SITES
- SCIENCES, Aix-en-ProvenceSeulement en L2
- SCIENCES, Marseille LuminyL2 et L3
- SCIENCES, Marseille St-JérômeL2 et L3

LEARNING AND RESEARCH
The Chemistry degree is supported by research laboratories of national and international renown in which all the teacher-researchers involved in our courses work:nbsp;https://chimie-sciences.univ-amu.fr/recherche nbsp;
The support provided by these laboratories is demonstrated by the hosting of students on research placements, particularly as part of the intensive course.
SCHOOL REGISTRATION
Typical courses can be access by- Initial Formation
- Continious formation
KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED
The aim of the chemistry degree is to acquire solid experimental and theoretical knowledge in the various fields of chemistry: physical, organic and analytical chemistry
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED
- Develop a complete scientific, theoretical and/or experimental investigation, starting from a correctly posed problem in chemistry
- Design and carry out a chemistry project independently, individually or collectively, promoting the discovery and understanding of chemical phases
- Develop a project that facilitates integration into a professional organisation or further study and an ethos that promotes empowerment
- Treat complex problems in all areas of chemistry by mobilising knowledge, theoretical and experimental skills
INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS
Tutored projects are offered in the 2nd year as part of a programme of discovery of the scientific world (DEMOS). Work placements are included in the intensive course. Voluntary internships are possible as part of the "Deepening knowledge" bonus.
SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS
Some students who are unable to devote themselves full-time to their studies may apply for a CSR
OFFSITE TEACHING
As part of the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Chemistry, we offer students a choice of courses in S5 (teaching unit "La chimie face aux enjeux sociétaux") and S6 (teaching unit "Développement durable"). These elective courses are taught in accordance with the specific features of the research laboratories present on the teaching sites, research laboratories with which our teacher-researchers are affiliated. In this way, we encourage our students to be mobile between our various campuses, depending on the thematic choices they wish to make. To this end, the timetables of the various teaching sites are harmonised.

SUPPORT FOR YOUR LABOR MARKET INTEGRATION
Each year, a professional project UE will help students to think about their project, acquire the fundamental notions for finding an internship or a job, but also follow the acquisition of their skills.
SUPPORT FOR YOUR STUDIES ABROAD
Possibility of semesters abroad as part of the Erasmus programme at partner universities. See page https://sciences.univ-amu.fr/fr/international/partir-etranger
