Le parcours « Musicologie et création » dispense une formation de haut niveau soucieuse de répondre aux évolutions de la recherche scientifique et artistique, et aux besoins du monde professionnel.
Pédagogie
AIMS
The course « Musicology and creation » provides a high-level training concerned with responding to the évolutions of scientific and artistic research, and the needs of the professional world.
The student engages in an anthropological, historical and critical reflection in the field of learned and popular music. They can thus develop their research and produce an interpretation or a creation that integrates the challenges of technology. It combines fundamental teaching with courses in English, research methodology, pre-professionalization and a one-month internship in the last semester.
The course is designed to be a combination of both theoretical and practical work.
Part of its teaching is based on a common base of knowledge with the course « Engineering and sound design » in order to encourage the merging of interdisciplinary skills.
The student will find in this stimulating and collaborative training the tools to question the contemporary paradigm shift, to master technical tools, to develop field practice, and, depending on his or her choices, to pursue a doctorate or to prepare for agrarian training.
Many researchers and professionals from the cultural and artistic world, the CNRS, and industry, participate in the training.
A double degree is in preparation with the University of the West Indies: Students of the Musicology and Creation course who wish to do so (limited number), will enrol and complete their first year in the Acoustics and Musicology master's degree; Aix-Marseille Université, and their 2nd year in the master Civilisations cultures sociét&eem, course « Musicology and immaterial heritage » of the Pôle Guadeloupe.
