  • AIMS

The NMCI track aims to train students in Neuroscience, giving them a common base and skills oriented in the fields of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience. It deals with both fundamental aspects and their biomedical implications. It opens up widely to health problems, but also to questions of modelling and robotics.

The training opens up to the development of new technologies and to the development of new techniques.

The training opens up management jobs in research and development in both fundamental and applied fields.

    Targets:

    • Researcher, Lecturer, Research assistant.
    • Project manager

The training intervenes as a complement to training for:

    • Physician
    • Pharmacist
    • Kinesithérapist
  • FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES

    • Fundamental knowledge of the functioning of the nervous system, and its involvement in the internal functioning of the organism and its interactions with the environment.
    • Familiarization with the main methods of investigation of the nervous system.
  • FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES

    • Internships in research laboratories in the fields of Neuroscience.
  • LEARNING SITES

    • SCIENCES, Marseille St-Charles
En master 2. Stage dans différents laboratoires, essentiellement sur les campus Saint-Charles, Timone et Luminy.
  • LEARNING AND RESEARCH

The Master of Neuroscience constitutes a unique training offer, open to the different fields of Brain Sciences, and has a secondary attachment in the AMU Health sector. All AMU neuroscience laboratories can be used as internship sites.

  • PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED

Contribute to the development of innovative projects related to the sub-cellular and cellular functioning of neurons, glia and small networks, by articulating fundamental and methodological knowledge acquired in Neuroscience.

  • INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS

Two research internships are provided, a 4-week internship in M1 and a 5-month internship in M2. These are research internships in the fields of neuroscience, which can take place in public (University, CNRS, INSERM laboratories) or private (industry or start-up) sectors.

  • SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS

The Master of Neuroscience is part of NeuroSchool and thus has been able to implement various innovative projects:

    • International mobility scholarships (2-6 months)
    • Animal experimentation certification
    • Project-based learning, involving the 9 neuroscience labs in Marseille
