Licence Sciences Sanitaires et Sociales, Parcours : Sciences sanitaires et sociales

The objective of the Health and Social Sciences License is to offer students a multidisciplinary training (combining biological and medical sciences, law, sociology, psychology and economics-management) centered on the person.

It allows students to question the biological mechanisms underlying the functioning of human beings (normal or pathological functioning, aging).

It allows them to take an interest in the major issues of public health, the rights of individuals, the place of the individual in society.

This is a unique training in the PACA region, offering numerous Master's opportunities, and involving teacher-researchers from Aix-Marseille University and professionals from the health and social sector.

Understand the different dimensions of the human being in the different complex systems in which he participates, by mobilizing fundamental and multidisciplinary knowledge (Biology, Health, Law, Human and Social Sciences, Economics-Management).

Develop a critical mind in a set of multidisciplinary situations through the analysis of experimental data in biomedical sciences and in human and social sciences.

Communicate with clarity and precision, in French and in English, both orally and in writing.

Develop an individual project and/or lead a team project in a responsible and autonomous manner.

Apply the multidisciplinary knowledge acquired with different situations and/or professional experiences encountered in the health and/or social sector.

Develop a training project consistent with his personal development and professional ambitions, by acting as a critical and responsible actor, concerned about respecting ethical values.

In L2, an optional 2-week internship is offered in a health and social establishment.

Apart from the credited internship provided for in the course, students can carry out additional internships during periods of interruption of teaching.

Tutored projects, integrated into lessons or in the form of specific teaching units, are offered in L2 and L3.
