  • AIMS

The aim of the Bachelor's degree in Chemistry is to provide students with a solid base of fundamental knowledge and skills in all the disciplines of Chemistry, enabling them to acquire the foundations specific to each of these disciplines.

The Chemistry degree is above all a generalist degree. Its main aim is to train students for further study within the University's Masters programs, as well as for courses offered by other higher education establishments, such as universities or engineering schools.

As such, the Bachelor of Chemistry is the main showcase for our University's Chemistry Department and the research laboratories with which our teacher-researchers are associated.

  • TARGETED STUDENTS

    • Titulaires du baccalaurat avec spés principalement scientifiques (pour la L1)
    • Students from other bachelor's degrees, CPGE, PASS, BUT or BTS: possible admission to L2 or L3 after étude du dossier.
    • Students from our pre-academic training courses for scientific studies (L1en2ans, AMNS).
  • STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION

The Chemistry degree begins with a first year in one of two scientific portals: Marie Curie or Louis Pasteur, then continues in the second year before offering three pathways in the third year: chemistry pathway, chemical engineering and process engineering pathway, Plurisciences pathway.

  • KNOWLEDGE TO BE ACQUIRED

The aim of the Chemistry degree is to acquire solid experimental and theoretical knowledge in the various fields of chemistry: physical chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and process engineering.

  • PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED

    • understand and solve chemistry problems, making appropriate use of acquired scientific, theoretical and practical knowledge
    • develop a complete scientific approach, theoretical and/or experimental, based on a correctly posed chemical problem,
    • independently design and carry out a chemistry project, individually or collectively, to discover and understand chemical phenomena,
    • use the fundamental knowledge and skills of chemistry in a professional environment.
    • develop a project that facilitates integration into a professional organization or further study, and an ethic that fosters responsibility.
  • INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS

Tutored projects play an important role in the 1st year of the Louis Pasteur portal, in the form of a discovery of chemistry, and in the 2nd year as part of a “Discovery of the scientific world” (DEMOS). Internships are included in the intensive course. Voluntary internships are possible as part of the “Deepening knowledge” bonus.

  • SUPPORT FOR YOUR ACADEMIC CHOICES

    Information non disponible
  • SUPPORT FOR YOUR LABOR MARKET INTEGRATION

Each year, a professional project teaching unit will help students to think about their project, acquire the fundamental notions for finding an internship or a job, but also follow the acquisition of their skills.

  • SUPPORT FOR YOUR STUDIES ABROAD

Possibility of semesters abroad as part of the Erasmus programme in partner universities. See page https://sciences.univ-amu.fr/fr/international/partir-etranger
