You are a student and would like to change direction this year, in the second semester or at the end of the year, in order to join a course at AMU's Faculty of Science. You can submit a request to the component. Depending on your situation, there are a number of different ways of changing course. If you don't use the one that applies to you, your application will not be accepted.
Reorientation at the end of semester 1

Students from outside the Faculty of Science
For all students from outside AMU's Faculty of Science wishing to apply for reorientation in semester 2 of a licence 1 or licence 2 (excluding CPGE students enrolled at the Faculty of Science), the reorientation application form is available from Friday November 28 to Wednesday January 14, 2026 at 5pm.
This scheme also applies to students enrolled in 25/26 at another university and wishing to follow the same course at the Faculté des Sciences d'Aix-Marseille Université.

Reorientation at the end of the academic year
- To reorient your studies in the first year of a Bachelor's degree, you must use the Parcoursup system.
- For other levels, you need to choose the right system according to your situation

CPGE reorientation students
- For CPGE students from high schools under agreement with the University of Aix-Marseille who have registered for their second year at AMU.
An exemption may be granted by the UFR Sciences Pedagogical Commission. Provided that the class council has validated your preparatory class course, it enables you to access university studies at various bachelor's degree levels.
Admission requirements
Access to L2
Students who have completed the 1st year of the CPGE are exempted from enrolling in the 2nd year of the scientific bachelor's program, provided they meet the following conditions:
60 ECTS credits obtained with at least grade D, including in the major subjects required for further study
a favorable recommendation from the home institution
a favorable opinion from the UFR Sciences pedagogical committee.
Access to L3
A 2nd year student can obtain a dispensation to access the L3 scientific bachelor's degree program, subject to meeting the following conditions:
120 ECTS credits obtained with at least grade D, including in the major subjects required for further study
have received a favorable recommendation from the home institution
a favorable opinion from the UFR Sciences pedagogical committee.
A student who has repeated a 2nd year of CPGE may apply to the UFR pedagogical committee for a modified course for the license in question.
Procedure :
- Connect to the E-candidat application from May 11, 2026 to June 14, 2026
- Create an account on this platform
- Once your account has been activated and your profile filled in, select "New application" in the "Application" section, then go to "CPGE procedure (exemption request)" in the "Training offer, Faculty of Science" section.
- Submit the required documents directly on the platform and download the exemption request from there
- Complete the exemption request, have it endorsed and signed by the Class Council or School Committee.
- Retrieve and submit the signed exemption request on E-candidat along with the other supporting documents.
- Once your application is complete, click on "Submit my application".
The platform will be open from May 11, 2026 to June 14, 2026 inclusive. Please note that this tool will not allow any delays.
On July 7, 2026, you will be notified by mail of the decision of the pedagogical committee. As soon as you receive this advice, you must proceed with your administrative registration.
